carina Segredo

BIO: Carina Segredo is a Miami native of Cuban and Italian descent. Her work is inspired by the city’s dynamic culture, incorporating lively colors that reflect the energy of Miami’s diverse communities and vibrant nightlife. Carina is influenced by the legacy of her grandfather, who worked at the Fontainebleau Miami Beach after moving from Cuba. This connection to Miami’s hospitality industry has shaped her artistic approach, blending her passion for creativity with an appreciation for the city’s cultural landscape.

Carina integrates her art into hospitality spaces—including hotels, cruise lines, restaurants, and lounges—enhancing the guest experience while creating a visual connection to local culture. She also holds a degree from Cornell University’s School of Hotel Administration and donates work to The National LGBTQ Task Force and Dachshund Rescue South Florida.

“Negroni, Mojito, Aperol Spritz, Paloma, Cosmopolitan, Old Fashioned, Spicy Margarita, & Dirty Martini”

Mixed Reflections is my art series that explores the layered identity of Miami through the metaphor of cocktails. Each piece draws inspiration from classic drinks, reflecting people's dual nature.

Just like a cocktail blends various ingredients, Miami itself is a mix of cultures, histories, experiences, and vices. In this collection, l use vibrant colors, textured layers, and abstract forms to explore the tension between how people appear and the deeper, often hidden stories that shape their essence.

Mixed Reflections challenges you to look beyond the glamorous exterior and think about how identity is both personal and collective, shaped by countless layers and influences. It's about diving into those contradictions, where beauty and complexity coexist.

Star of the Seas Crew

The Star of the Seas isn’t just a ship—it’s a constellation of people.

Every crew member adds a point of light, and together they form a story of shared dreams and brilliance. This artwork is a star chart, mapping where passion burns brightest—right here at Royal Caribbean.

Now, I know what you’re thinking: Carina, enough with the art.My answer? No. Because here’s the thing—art isn’t about everyone liking the same piece. You might not like it. The person next to you might not either. And that’s great—because it starts conversations, and those conversations connect us.

Like the stars, each crew member shines on their own—but together, they form something even greater: a crew united by purpose, respect, and pride in the journey they’ve created together. Congratulations to the Star of the Seas crew—safe sailings ahead. August 2025

Utopia Crew

Royal’s success is fundamentally rooted in its people. The 2,549 knots surrounding the artwork were made by the Utopia startup crew in an event that fostered a sense of community and belonging. As permanent pieces in the crew areas, the knots are a physical manifestation of their legacy and dedication to Utopia. The first painting, "Family of Coral," celebrates the deep bond among the crew of Utopia of the Seas. Despite the complexity of the ship's ecosystem, there is a sense of balance and order, reflecting how each crew member plays a vital role in maintaining harmony at sea. The second painting, "Portals of Utopia," bursts with bright, abstract shapes, offering glimpses into the experiences and memories of the crew. Each porthole tells a story, symbolizing the bonds that unite the crew. These ropes represent a bond to become something bigger, a connection to the team and furthermore, the commitment to Royal Caribbean itself. July 2024

ICON Crew

From the bridge of Icon of the Seas, I presented two paintings to Captain Henrik and HD Irfan. Our CEO, Michael Bayley, requested the pieces to honor and celebrate the extraordinary journey of the crew of Icon of the Seas. It’s a recognition to all the efforts, commitments, and Royal spirt embodied by each team member. January 2024
